November 7 Merit Badge Clinic

Posted by Christina McCulloch on October 24, 2009 in Uncategorized |

This fall’s merit badge clinic will be on November 7 at the Palm Desert LDS Church at 72960 Parkview Drive, Palm Desert.

Here is what is being offered at this year’s clinic:

  • Citizenship in the Community (all day class, I am the instructor)
  • Citizenship in the World (morning class only)
  • Crime Prevention (half-day class being offered in both morning and afternoon)
  • Cycling (all day class)
  • First Aid (all day class, the instructor is my friend Mal Maloney, an excellent instructor!)
  • Family Life (sign-off only at noon; I am also the counselor for this; you can see me at a troop meeting unless you would feel more comfortable working with another counselor)
  • Painting (all day class; the instructor of this class is Mr. Stiede who taught several of us to use an industrial power painter just last weekend, talk about FUN!)
  • Genealogy (all day class, or as long as it goes; the instructor of this incredibly cool class is our own Mr. Philbrook)
  • Personal Management (all day class)

This is a good opportunity to pick up one of these merit badges, especially the Eagle required ones.

The clinic will run from 8:30 a.m. (for registration) and the all day classes will end around 4 p.m. If you would like to go, please email me and I will sign you up, but hurry! The classes are filling up fast.
